The Lido Holiday Programme.
Oh my goodness, I remember my first day at the Lido Holiday Programme and my gosh, I couldn’t hold myself together!
I was so excited, nervous, and happy. I made an emotion that is all of those emotions mixed together, I call this emotion, exovouspy. But anyway, I was so exovouspy.
It was the first day of the holidays and also the first day at the Lido! My sisters and I were driven by my mum to the lido, and it took a while, but we eventually got there. Once we found a place to park we hopped out and made our way to the entrance.
We walked over to the Junior room and starting introducing ourselves. But my mum needed to go to work soon so she came over and signed a roll making sure people knew we were there.
My sister Saphir and I were shown to the senior room where mum signed us in there too.
One of the supervisors there showed us around and her name is Deb. Deb told us to put our bags away and take our shoes off, and we are good girls so we did what we were told…
An hour later we were making pancakes and playing minute to win it. Minute to win it is a really fun game where, as you probably guessed, you had a minute to win it.
The first challenge was to put a popsicle stick in your mouth while balancing eight small cubes on the end, and I managed to win that challenge. There were lots of different challenges that were very difficult and hard but I managed to somehow defeat a couple of those challenges.
Afterwards we were told we were able to go swimming, so I got changed and went for a swim.
Then 50 minutes later I was told by Deb that it was time to get out and get changed, so I went to the changing rooms and got dressed, dry, also ready to go home.
Once I got back to the senior room I met my favourite supervisor there, his name is Blair. He is a super funny and awesome guy but you don’t want to get on his bad side, luckily, I am not on his bad side. Well, at least I think I’m not.
At the end of the day my Mum came to pick us up.
We got home at about 6:30.
My sisters and I had dinner, it was spaghetti! Afterwards I hopped into bed and had a good night sleep. Until someone started poking me…. DAMN IT SAPHIR!

Octo-Impossible
“OMG YES!” I squealed as I got handed my hotdog, I was at a beautiful beach sitting by the sea eating my favourite food. My mouth was watering, I was about to take the most delicious scrumptious first bite, and suddenly from the middle of nowhere a tentacle took my hotdog and swiveled back into the sea as I chased after it.
I dived into the water realizing it was shallow and face planted into the salty water. The tentacle disappeared but I didn’t give up so I swam so fast and far that I passed a fish, but while I saw the fish I went up to the surface of the water and took a deep breath then slowly sank back down into the water.
I gave up hope but just as I was about to swim away I saw the tentacle, I rushed through the water towards it to an underwater cave and saw an air bubble, I wiggled my way to it and took a breath then looked around, when I was looking around I saw a big orange lump, It was moving, I was so distracted I didn’t realize that it was juggling my hotdog.
I soon realized that it was an octopus and I angrily made my way to it, the octopus dropped my hotdog and swam away. I was relieved it was over. I made my way back to sure as my hotdog dripped and dropped through my fingertips. It, was, SOGGY. I went to the shop and asked for a refund. I eventually got one and took a deep breath and sunk my teeth into it. But suddenly a hand swiped it away from me…. “Maybe next time I’ll just eat it at home.”

My Favourite Part of Camp
"Wow! We can bake at Green Pastures!?" I said surprised, and sure enough we were at Ready Steady Cook! Nobody knew what we were making but suddenly, I saw two packets of marshmallows and rice bubbles. I knew what we were making, we were making Marshmallow bubble slices!
We were instructed to get some butter and to put it into the pan to melt, after it melted we needed to put the marshmallows into the pan, we waited for a few minutes then we poured the rice bubbles in. It started to consume the marshmallows, we started to mix.
A couple of minutes later we started taking out some cupcake wrappers to put the mixture in. Everyone had a chance to put some of the delicious goods into the cupcake wrapper and to decorate it with icing and sprinkles.
There were some extra so some lucky people were able to make two! Guess what, I was one of those lucky ones! The thing I really liked about Ready Steady Cook was that once you finished decorating you could eat it and my gosh, it was delicious!
Camp was an amazing experience, but my favourite part was definitely Ready Steady Cook.
Have you made a Marshmallow bubble slice before? If so, please comment!

Cookie the Pug!
Once upon a time there was a baby pug called Cookie. Cookie loved to chase his owner around and get tummy rubs. He was a cute silly baby.
But one day he was feeling a bit lonely and sad because his owner went to work. So Cookie decided to find someone to play with him, so he climbed out the window and escaped.
He was wandering around until he found a street cat, then asked the street cat, “Hello there can you please help by chasing me?” The street cat nodded and said, “Sure little harmless puppy….. Hehehe.”
Cookie thought that he sounded nice, so he told the street cat to start chasing him, so that’s what the street cat did and Cookie thought it was fun until he realised that the cat wasn’t chasing him for fun, the cat was trying to hurt Cookie! Cookie ran as fast as his tiny Cookie legs could take him.
After a while the cat gave up, so Cookie sat down and thought, “Oh how nice would it be for a tummy rub right now?” Suddenly a silent voice came from the corner of a store in the shadows and said, “Would you like me to give you a tummy rub?” Said the mysterious voice, Cookie said yes please and got in a comfortable position and got ready.
Then out popped an animal catcher and looked at Cookie while having a sly smile on his face. Cookie hopped up and ran! He ran so fast that he didn’t realise he was running straight to a road! He was so fast that he bounced across the road like a basketball.
Once he got to the other side of the road he didn’t know where he was so he carefully walked back across the road and was careful that the evil man and street cat didn’t catch him.
Soon enough he found his home and climbed back through the window in exhaustion. A few minutes later his owner came back. Cookie was so excited he started barking and jumping up and down. Then the door opened in came his owner!
Cookie promised himself not to ever go back out to the evil outside world again. Cookie loved his home and owner much more after that adventure. And he lived happily ever after.
I hope you enjoyed my little fairy tail also please comment down below a moment when you missed someone!

New Year, New Class
It’s a new year with a new wonderful class. I love it already! Our class name is Colab! There is a ton of friendly, happy and intelligent kids in Colab. Alongside us is the funny Miss Liddell, sporty Mr Robertson, nice Miss Dennison, cool Miss Gordon and our helpful teacher aide Vicki. Our class numbers are 14/15/16/17. We have ninety, yes that's right, ninety kids in Colab! I know it’s a lot but at least we have the best teachers to help us.
On our first day we had to fill in a profile booklet that had activities for us to do. The first one most people did was the Google forms which we had to fill in a form. Next some people did the lego challenge. The lego challenge is where we had to make things to go in our class then take a photo of it with an iPad. After we had to sort our things out and put them in our tote tray and then write our name on it.
At the end of the day we jammed out with some amazing music. Colab is an amazing class that you would want to be in for sure.
What was your first day of school like? Did you like it?
